Taylor Lautner will become the highest-paid teen actor in Hollywood history when he appears in action film Northern Lights.
The 17-year-old New Moon star is to reportedly pocket $7.5 million for the movie, which will begin filming in April under the direction of Max Payne's John Moore.
Deadline Hollywood has described the project as a "Tom Cruise vehicle" that will see Lautner take on the role of an aerobatics pilot whose foe is his billionaire father. The movie will also include a romantic story involving Lautner's character and a female pilot.
Lautner has also been linked to action drama Cancun and the Vision Quest remake in recent weeks.
